Getting local businesses and residents involved in placemaking can be an exciting challenge for local government.
That’s why we’re hosting this workshop to share some of the tips and tools for engaging your community. We’d also loved to hear what you have learned as well, so we can learn from each other. Some of the potential topics include:
- how to engage and empower community champions
- how to get support from stakeholders and the wider community
- the role of local government and government agencies
- the importance of building relationships
- finding funding
- creative ways to realise projects and sustain interest
